Title: Clear Glass Scraps
Post by: buckeyebowhunter on May 13, 2020, 09:11:30 PM
I use mainly Gordon's ULS in my builds. When I get them from Binghams they are 72" and I am usually left with about 10 inches after using a strip for a takedown limb. What if anything do you guys do with the scrap glass. I hate that I waste so much but to my knowledge you can't get Gordon's by the foot  :dunno:

Laminate it into risers to stiffen/strengthen them? You could splice two together and use them on the compression side with no issues.

I use them as tip reinforcement with wood or other glass color

I use them to spread glue on lams. Other than that, I throw em away.

Keep saving them till you have enough to make a block and shape them into the worlds first translucent riser :goldtooth:

Flem, only problem is it would also be the world's smallest recurve riser at only 10".  :goldtooth:

Knife handle scales. Laminate different colors and patterns of cloth between layers for different effects.

Stagger them, like laying bricks :goldtooth:
