Title: Glue tip overlay question
Post by: Tagsoup on April 07, 2020, 11:30:26 AM
Having no experience whatsoever with bow repair, I was hoping for some guidance. I have a 25 lb draw Bear Panda my wife shoots. I noticed a crack on both the belly and back side top tip. Can't tell if it's all the way through. Would a phenolic overlay make the bow shootable again? And if so, what glue or epoxy is recommended? I don't want to spend $40+ on a can of Smooth On for just this fix.  Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Pics would help.  Is it a solid glass or lam glass bow? You might be able to fill the cracks with super glue and clamp until glue dries. Without pics it's hard to say.

I've been trying to post pictures but somethings not working. I'll try on the computer later tonight. Sorry.

Down size your pics...  Maybe they are too big...
