I looked for another thread, couldn't find one.
From my back yard, pedicles showing, getting ready for another years' growth.
Our bucks are just now dropping.
But this guy showed up.

Hey Charlie, Please send some of your excess gobblers to me. The old farm where I grew up is almost totally void of any turkeys. No rush sending them, season doesn't open for another month. :goldtooth:
Yes Bruce. I can say mange but many people in my neck of the woods say Chupacabra.
It is mange by the way.

Checking out a new spot, 3 day soak on cam.
I have three cams out in my place in PA. I plan to swap-out memory chips this coming weekend. I was too tired last weekend after planting my chestnut trees. Getting old sucks! Hoping the rain will let up enough so the path to the back corner dries out some so I can disc my food plots as it is getting close to planting time. I had a group of four bucks using the winter feeding spot and the mineral block. Last time I checked memory chips there were bucks, including the foursome, on the mineral block every day of the week, sometimes more than once per day. Just might be a good season this year!
JMC
John Krause, I love the back lighting on the wing tips....great shot.
Looks like bucky may have some nice brow tines.
Great pic variety...
[attachment=1]
1 Longbow, those bucks appear to be out of velvet! Is that normal for your area at the end of April? The deer here don't shed velvet until late Aug or early Sep. 105 Deg F., Wow!
Still last years antlers. I have pics of one of the smaller ones that lost one antler. I have about 5 bucks still wearing horns

I have found that some bears that look mangy in the spring start looking nice by summer if they find good food and start getting fatter.

If you want to see some very cool trail camera video compilations including deer, panther, bear, and a variety of other species on Florida public land look for Tim Harrell on YouTube. He is quirky, funny, and a bit silly, but he logs some miles getting GREAT trailcam footage. Sometimes he will pop up a drone and you can see the lay of the land where he is placing the cameras. He is not a hunter and does not use words like funnel, etc., but I've actually learned a thing or two by watching.
Looks like the guy in front wants to pop a couple more points.

This doesn't seem to be working the same way that it did before. It seems that all I had to do was copy and paste the You Tube URL link in my post and the video preview screen would appear there and all you had to do to view it was click on the video preview and it would play. I see that others are working that way, what am I not doing right?
Yay!! I finally got it to work
just click on the {share} below the video, then click copy. then come back to tradgang and right click and paste.

Bow, Wud.....wish I had video... when studying both shots, it may be coincidence but, it appears the left rear leg is postured the same. It may in fact have been some kind of trauma. I feel bad for the critter, he may eventually succumb to internal damage.
Howie, you may be right about left rear leg. But looks like he's doing Ok. Had a young buck I chased for three years with one front leg missing. He eventually succumbed to yotes at 4 1/2 years old.
There is a tree stand out of view off the right side of the screen. This happened opening morning while I was in a different stand. He was within 15 yd of the stand. If you watch the left side of the screen there is a second big bull standing there. In the second video after the first bull gets in the brush then the second bull steps out where he would have offered a shot opportunity also. If only I could have been there. The wind was wrong for this stand.
https://youtu.be/MsBvQy-rn4Q
https://youtu.be/cn6ySnUMAyM
The wind got right in the afternoon and I finally got in this stand. Around 5pm this cow showed up. I have an extra cow tag for this area. I was ready but the immediate impression I had when I first saw her was that something was wrong with her. She was limping, she was panting, she didn't have a round filled out body like the other cows that I have seen, and she turned to look behind her as if she thought something was following her. I also have Bl Bear, Lion, and Wolf tags. Nothing else showed up after she left.

This bull was really tempting me but of course I don't have a moose tag. This was back on 30 Sep. I was in a tree stand off the right end of the screen and had an open view of his right side. He was 17 yards away. He stood there nearly 15 minutes before he turned and left. I took several still pictures with my phone camera. I like the way his brow tines hook up, they could really do some damage.

Black or Grizzly? We have both here. I'm not sure, some of the big boar blacks can develop a hump on the shoulders but a grizzly could have a more pronounced hump than this. It appears to be one solid color, don't see any grizzly bear markings. If I could see the head better I probably could make a more positive identification. If it is a black bear he is one big dude.

Fixed it for ya Charlie.
Thanks Roy. The albinos are protected here. There are becoming a lot of them south of me. I have a couple co workers who have infants at home and do not get much time in the woods. Both guys have eaten tag soup in the past because they only saw white deer. My boss has 5 by his house and it drives him nuts when people block the road trying to take pictures.
Anyway, my dislike for the reasoning for their protection belongs on another thread.
