Title: Carbon footing for stump shooting?
Post by: RedRocks on March 29, 2020, 09:51:31 PM
With our local range closed due to Covid, we are practicing stump shooting. Great way to keep a safe distance from each other while boosting up our immune system in the great outdoors! I am getting addicted to stump shooting but I am also busting a lot of arrows!
What do you do? To reinforce your carbon shafts. Old aluminum arrows cut and epoxied?

Thanks

2215 is a great size for carbon footing, 2" pieces epoxied on.

Yes, I use 2117, 2114 and 2213. All old shafts from the old days. There's a chart on the site here, DYI I think. Lists sizes for various shafts.

Thank you so much!
I'll have a look for that chart.

Found it! And apparently we have some old busted xx75 kicking around at our club. Guess I know what I'll be doing today.
Thanks again for your help! Stay healthy
