Title: Cloverdale question
Post by: BAK on February 06, 2020, 09:45:32 AM
I looked at the site but find 2019 rules and details.  I can't find anything regarding 2020.

What kind of rules govern the on grounds camping.   I see the wise move to not allow any target practice in the camping area.  Are people allowed to run generators?  What about dogs, are they allowed there?   :dunno:

I THINK that dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. There had been a few issues over the years that prompted them to initiate the "leash" rule. Jim will get back on here and let you know for sure.

BAK, The rules for 2020 will be the same as 2019. Our web-site guy has not updated the dates and times yet. Dogs are allowed in the campground on a leash. Thanks, Jim

We don't have any rules against generators. Dogs won't be allowed on the range or vendor areas. Thanks

I was unfortunate enough to camp near someone who ran their generator ALL NIGHT at last years shoot. The only time I recall he generator being shut off was when they went to shoot. It made for an unpleasant experience.

I sympathize with you Kenny, hence my question.

I started attending the Iowa Trad shoots back about 20 years ago.  Always a nice quiet fun event with evening around the campfires and teepees and tents all over.

Fast forward 15 or more years, the campgrounds were now full of RV's and motor homes, dogs (dog poo) everywhere,  and generators running all night.

Oh well,, the arrows still fly.  :dunno:
