Grizzly 160 62"46@27.5 and 64"50@27.5 wood arrow 545gr.
200 grain Grizzlies, bows from 57-60 pounds.
Magnus 125 grain 4 blade stingers, 50# bow
Magnus, 125 grain, two blade. I'm shooting around 50#'s at my draw length.
If you're going to be stupid, you'd better be tough!
Bear Razorheads ( Greenies )
Magnus Classics 125gr.
Journeyman 145gr.
Zwickey Eskimos and Deltas
Ace Standards 125gr and 160gr.
I shoot 60# to 65# bows at 28".

All of my bows are 49-50# at my 29"DL.

I am an old guy.... I am shooting Zephyr Scirocco and Sasquatch heads. I am shooting the Scirocco 120 gr with steel mounting inserts on Arrow Dynamics LT Stingers cut to 29.5" with 5" feathers at my 28" draw on 45lb bows (both LB and recurve). I shoot the Sasquatch with steel inserts on Arrow Dynamics Traditional Lite shafts cut the same as above and fletched the same on a 52lb LB.
I think all that is correct... LOL
Though old, and the manufacturer now gone, these BH's have served me well.
Zwickey Deltas, and from 65-75 lbs depending on which bow.
200gn Outback Broadheads Stealths at the moment. They're Aussie made so I like to support them.
54# bow @ 28.
I've killed game with a bunch of different heads over the years...The big Snuffer was one of my favorites...I now shoot the VPA 200 grain 3 blade and it has performed well for me from 40 - 50 lb bows...
Woodsman with a 40# @ 30" draw
Snuffer 125 grain. Border Covert Hunter 50#, Morrison Max 6 ILF 46#
I find that just poundage is not a true judge of performance. Each of these shoots like bows of heavier weight.
I shoot 125 gr woodsman out of 52lb longbow and recurve
Grizzly and Zwickey No Mercy out of a 43 lb. hybrid longbow. (I draw 27 inches) Aluminum and wood arrows at approx. 500 grains.
I shoot Zwickey 2 blade Deltas, 100 grain steel broadhead adapter, 50 grain brass insert, 28.5" inch arrow launched from all my Martins that are 55#@28".
Simmons LandShark 135 grain. 42#@29" recurve
Silver Flame XL (1 1/2" wide) 150 gr. 47# ACS CX Longbow
German Kinetics (Silver Flames) 180 grain extra wide (1.5 inches) Cari-Bow Peregrine 47# @ 27 inches

Magnus Stinger 4 blade, 125 grains (561 grain total arrow weight).
Bow is a Ben Pearson Raider, 45# @ 28" (but I draw more like 26").
I use a Browning Nomad 54" using carbon arrows and plastic vanes tipped with 100 gr brass insert and 125 gr muzzy phantom broadheads. these perform well for me with nil success. I am 79 years old looking at 80 years. Success for me is to be able to get to the woods and sit for a while and if I see something, I am a happy old man. Always, maybe next year.
Rainmaker-you are an inspiration for us all-love your attitude and vision.
David that's great I have a friend Paul Shannon who is in his 90s and still hunting .
I shoot WW ,Bear Razorheads with the bleeder and Simmons Tiger Sharks, If I use a 2 blade I want a wide one.
250 gr. Aboyer, 100gr. brass insert, 628 gr. total. I shoot this out of 57/62 # @28 bows. Recently added the hex-8's @ 47# to the list.

I use 125 gr Magnus 2 blade. Bow is a SuperShrew #53@28' which is exactly what I draw. Whatever you use keep 'em sharp!
Magnus 2 blade 160 grain 50lbs.
I'm really old school. Bonkins with razor blades glued/baked to them. Per Larry Bamford
160 grn Stos on Surewoods for pretty much everything 48 lbs up to 55 lbs.
I have some cutthroats, but haven't tried them yet.

Guess I should add my bow and weight. 52# Blacktail Elite
145gn Ace Standard, right now shooting my ILF rig at approx 48-49lbs
2 Blade Zwickey Deltas from 51#longbow
I like Ace Standard heads a lot because they are a good head that sharpens easily and is relatively inexpensive. Plus, the same style head comes in 125gr, 145, and 160. I shoot 45-70 pounds and I can just adjust weight, add steel adapter, whatever, still use the same style head.
Tusker Concordes 190 and Zwickey Eskimos. DF shafts
Howard Hill longbows 65# & 70#
Deno
Simmons Safari 205 grain, 1 9/16" wide by 2 5/8" long. I shoot a Black Widow PL longbow, 44# at my 28" draw.

Abowyer Brown Bear (250 g. stainless) 60#.
Eclipse Werewolf
Zwickey Eskimo
First Cut
All 2 blades shot from 40 to 45lb. bows.
Just in case, use an Ace

Forgot to add in my previous post I am using a 30gn screw in adapter to use my 145gn ace standards with 2213 camo magnum aluminum shafts. Makes the Ace 175gn. And.... just took a late season doe with it last night. The Ace did a fine job!
I like Montec G5 and shoot the 125 grain, I am constantly switching bows but I shoot 45-50lb most often.
My favorite so far are the 3 blade vpa 175 grain. Have used magnus stingers, zwickey, and grizzly heads also and they did the job. I shoot between 45 and 50# bows at this time
Eclipse with Bleeders 150-155 grain
Grizzly Instincts
Grizzly Kodak 200 & 235 grain
Grizzly 190 grain :biglaugh:
I'm using 150 grain double-bevel Grizzly heads on woodies for an arrow weight of 640 grains. My bow is a 56" Fox High Sierra recurve at 65#.
Stick a Big One!
JMC
The old Bear Razorhead.......51-55# depending which recurve I am shooting.
All I need.
Currently I use
Woodsman 3-blade 125 gr with 100 gr insert
VPA 3-blade 160 gr with 75 gr insert
Both out of Centaur bow 45# at 29"
I use those broadheads because I can easily get them razor sharp, and I have them tuned with different inserts/shafts so they work for me. In the past few years, I have also used Grizzly single bevel, and I like them.
I shoot 200 grain VPA broadheads (both two and three blade) or 200 grain wensel woodsmen broadheads from my 57 pound recurves. I actually probably draw 54 or 55 pounds.
I shoot 125 grain magnus stingers from my 50 pound longbows. Again, I probably draw 47 or 48 pounds.
I've shot others, but this is what I currently like and trust.
About 51-52lbs at my 26.75" DL. Bows are 55@28.
My 400 spine set up I run 150 grain Carbon Express Piledrivers.
My 340 spine I run 175 grain Simmons Swamp sharks.

160 gn. Ace Standard on Douglas Fir arrow. Shot from #43 N.M. Shelton. Wicked combo for me.
TuffHead 190g-315g... :o
150gr. Magnus Stingers with bleeder blades, 29"Axis Traditional, 64" Super K 45#@28"
Razorheads.

44@31.5 575 grain total arrow weight. 150 grain VPA with 50 grain brass inserts total 200 upfront. I like the smaller 150 grain VPA verse the larger width 200's with my setup for better penetration and less wind drag
Tree Sharks...190 gn...w/100 gn inserts
VPA 3-blade...250 gn...w/50 and 100 gn inserts
All out of 47 to 52# bows at my draw length
Zwickey. No Mercy & Delta primarily. But I wouldn't hesitate to use an Eskimo or any other 2-blade head of similar design. I can think of better heads but certainly not for the price & convenience of finding them anywhere.
Draw weight 45-48# at 27.5" Arrow weights of 630 - 680 grains, though I may yet drop to something just under 600 this year.
I shot zwicky delta's for years out of all my bows, killed Deer, Elk, Bear and mountain lion with them when I lived in Montana, since I moved to Alaska I've killed Bears mainly with delta's and a few with 175 grain Ace and moose with 190 grain Tuskers. At the present I'm using 190 Grizzly's single bevel.
I forgot to add most of my bows are between 55 and 60 pounds, mostly 55 pounds.
I shoot Ace standard 160gr out of a 73# BBO. They have always done the trick and flown well so haven't messed with anything else.
47-50# bows, Douglas fir with Grizzly Instinct 3 blade, 530-550 gr.
160 Snuffers, 160 Magnus 2 blade, and 160 glue on Cutthroats all on 100 gr steel adaptors all properly motivated by 69#.
I'm currently shooting 52# out of my Mohawk longbow. I shoot cedar arrows with Zwickey Deltas, No Mercy or Magnus I broadheads. They e been doing the job for me for 40 years. No reason to change especially since I've got way more than I can use up since I only lose one occasionally after a deer looses it.
200 gr Cutthroats out of 60# bows. arrows around 600 grains
190-225gr tuffhead on Doug fir shaft for 622gr arrow give or take depending on head. 55 lb longbows
200gr grizzly's the last few years out of 55-60# longbows. Before that mostly zwickey Eskimo and Deltas.
