I have a buck tag, and the only thing I saw this afternoon was a doe!!!!

Was surrounded by does and small bucks while waiting for a good one all year. I feel your pain.

Yes...a common occurrences for one of my hunters....He has shot a buck in velvet five consecutive seasons. He still hunts hard thru the end of season.

I know the feeling as well.  Our doe season closes the Sunday after Thanksgiving and about 4 days after the close I had 4 does walk into my set at 8-10 yds. and fed for about 10 minutes.  Had multiple shot opportunities at them but alas...I had to pass.

That usually happens to me when I'm hunting an area that requires a doe or spike first.
