Hey guys I have shoulder and elbow issues so trying to stay around 40-45 pounds on a longbow. I'm not trying to start a debate on is it enough or what's the minimum weight bit of anybody out there is hunting with lower weight bows I'd like to see some pics of your hunting kills to kinda boost my confidence in using a lower weight bow. Thanks.

Just bumped up 45 pound and under thread with pics you can look at for a while. A sharp Broadhead is deadly.
Found it. Thanks!!

I shot this 9 point with a 41@28 Morrison Shawnee longbow drawn around 27". It was a 735 grain arrow and got full penetration,[attachment=1]
Bought a Fedora 40 lb longbow to use for 'form' practice. Liked it so much I hunted with it the fall of 2016 and killed this buck. Used about a 480 grain carbon arrow tipped with a 3 blade 200 grain VPA broadhead. Arrow penetrated to feathers behind shoulder with low exit hole.
On a side note....I've had shoulder issues and surgery that has not allowed me to shoot trad since the spring of 2017 - but in the the last few weeks I have been able to shoot my longbow again but limiting my number of arrows I shoot...Very excited about this....Hope to again be shooting trad this fall and will be using my 40 lb Fedora longbow or similar weight bow with no concerns on game performance at all....
