Title: It's the thought that counts
Post by: Pine on December 27, 2019, 08:19:57 PM
The moon faze is excellent and it's not terribly cold.
A few days of deer season left here on Michigan.
Was thinking about getting out for a sit in my blind with the longbow.
The deer activity is even noticeable from the house.
So it looks like I would have a good chance to connect.
Yep, it's the thought that counts.
Talked myself out of it because I don't think I have it on me to deal with another deer this year.
I know, I could just take pictures, but I know me.
If a good shot at a decent deer would present itself, I would drop the string.

Well, I guess you could just leave the bow at home and take the camera.  Not too likely to be tempted to try to kill one with a camera.   :goldtooth:

You have all of the year to think about hunting.

Don't ever take just your camera to deer hunt with during season. I tried that once and got to watch one of the biggest bucks I have ever seen around my place just walk away. Now the camera stays on the shelf until after the deed is done. I had one down and just thought I would try for some pics wrong move.
