Title: Anyone have an old moultrie d40? Ext power voltage?

I have an ancient d40 that takes d cell batteries. Want to run solar and external battery. Anyone know the external power port voltage?

If it's 4 d's it's 6 volts and would be the same for external.

I know on some cameras have a different interal operating power. Some have 8 AAs(12v) but operate at 6volt.

Depends on how the eight AAs are installed. Could still be 6v.

So the 6 D cells could be 6V instead of 9V?
