I have been blessed to have hosted countless Trad Gang members over the years in a number of different camps. Hunts for bear, deer, hogs, alligator, turkey and other animals. The greatest thing about these hunts is the many friendships that have come my way as a result. I couldn't possibly chronicle each one but a recent one has a little story that's sure worth telling. Many of you know Michael T on here that goes by the Trad Gang handle Brushwolf. A couple years back Brushwolf and his wife Janice came up to hunt in our Canada bear camp. We sure hit it off and they returned again in 2018 and 2019 and helped out in camp while hunting. Well that first year I was admiring the bow that he shot a beautiful P&Y bear with. He is so humble that I didn't even know he made bows.
This thing was not only one of the most beautiful bow I had ever seen but when I shot it I felt like I had been shooting it for years. It was amazing.
Fast forward to bear camp 2019 and Mike and Janice arrive in camp. Mike walks up and hands me one of these gorgeous bows- as a gift! I was overwhelmed with the gesture and promised to break it in on hogs as soon as I got home.
After returning to Georgia, we were met with extremely hot weather. Temps were consistently pushing 100 degrees. We normally don't conduct hog hunts this late in the summer but my hog leases were on fire so we decided to go to work on those piggy's with this new bow and my friend Al was pursuing a quest to take a hog with a self bow driving a homemade river and arrow and self knapped stone point.
Dang did we fling some arrows. In just a few days we shot a pile of hogs and sweated more than you can imagine. I intend to produce a video soon of the hunts but wanted to take a moment to thank Mike for this beautiful bow that shoots like a dream. The friendship that I have built here are cherished and I look forward to building more of them over the years.
Scroll down for a few pictures from the hunt and the beautiful Alpha recurve from Brushwolf Bows.

Great job, Jerry, and a beautiful bow!
Jerry, I had the pleasure of sharing bear camp with you, Mike and Janice. It was the best hunt of my life by far, the fact that 5 out of 6 were successful and the one who did not take a bear passed on an opportunity. It was a great group of clients but the tone is always set by the guide, that be you, and his staff Mike and Janice. They are just good people with a great work ethic and they did whatever it took to make our camp successful. People make the difference.
You must have been blown away by Mikes gesture and his workmanship! Congratulations
That's awesome Jerry, and a beautiful bow too!!!!!

Thanks for sharing
It's good to hear. I hope some of them start posting to keep things fresh. I'll admit I'm not on here near as much as I used to. My brain has started being hyper sped by social media that is constantly updating. I think I need to stop and savor for a bit.
Awesome :clapper:
The Alpha Recurve is beautiful.
The gift of friendship and sharing of common passion inspired thru Trad Gang is invaluable.
Jerry, I had the privilege of taking BrushWolf hunting on a Saint Jude's hunt I offered a few years ago.....
I was lucky enough to get him on a few hogs and he scored......
His wife was also in camp..... Great people...would love to meet them again in camp somewhere some how.!!!
 This is what the trad community is all about!
Kudos to Mike for his generous gift, I'm sure you will always cherish that bow!
It's always satisfying to see a sportsman connect with something you've made. When someone that you call friend harvests an animal it truly makes it special. The wife and I have enjoyed bear camp and look forward to next time. Can't wait to watch the video of you guys stacking hogs.

That was definitely a hunt to remember! Hats off to the Georgia folks that chase hogs in that heat.
Dont let him fool you. I was on that lease today and he left all kind of pigs around. :)
That sure is a beautiful bow. Congrats on the hogs!
I am not at all surprised to hear Jerry talk about the great friendships he has made among Trad Gang folks. There are some awfully nice people here. That beautiful bow is one example of the thoughtfulness to be found here. I'm sure Jerry will take a lot of game with that jewel. Jerry, if you make to the TBG shoot in the spring, please bring this bow so we can see it close up. Thanks for sharing this story.
Great story, I love good people with a deep sense for friendship, lovely bow with some of my favorite woods
