Hello all. It's been a long time since I checked in here. A lot of changes in my life over the course of a year and a half. I have been through an unwanted divorce. Raising 2 boys and trying to keep it all together. Hunting and especially trad archery has been put aside. But I am ding well now and just started shooting the recurve again this week. Not sure if I will hunt with it this year yet,but but it felt good to shoot again after 2 years. Many of you helped me learn a lot a few years ago. Wanted to say hello and thank you. It's been a long hard road to recovery but I made it. Hope all of you guys are doing well.

thank you both! both boys have taken an interest in archery and my youngest (12) was given his older brother's compound just this week. My oldest (14) is getting a new compound tomorrow. They love shooting. One day in the near future I will will introduce them to traditional archery. The purest form there is. but for now, Im just happy that they are happy shooting the compounds.
That's great! Anything to get kids into the outdoors is a win for sure.

Welcome back, I'm glad your doing well divorce is very tough stay focused.
the only people that truly understand are the ones that have been through it. especially an unwarranted one. It can and has had terrible affects on my two boys and in turn made it even harder on me. But time does heal wounds and shooting this recurve has actually helped me find myself again...It's simple and pure and even though I can't hit the broadside of a barn most times, it gives me focus and a goal..thanks a bunch!
Fred Bear said it best..."Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow".
He was right, naturally.
