Trying to keep focused and get a few more things done here in the shop. But man it is hard.
I fly out Saturday evening, overnight in Seattle and on to Alaska Sunday morning.
A couple of days of rat killing to get things ready to go and off to moose camp.
Scheduled 16 days in camp this year.
Mike
Can't even imagine... gotta be watching the clock!!

Be safe & go get'um. Best of luck.
John Havard and I are both checking off the lists and are about at the bottom. Will drop my shipped boxes at Alaska Air Cargo tomorrow to be picked up on Monday in Anchorage. John dropped his a few minutes ago.
Nothing but small rats to kill now.
In the mean time I've been cutting risers all day with the CNC. So at least I'm a little productive. LOL
Mike
Good luck.

"Trying to keep focused and get a few more things done here in the shop. But man it is hard."
This is a great reason for trusting the CNC.
Nice to know you guys are still chasing the big donkeys. Hopefully the smoke and fires are of no issue in your area. Best of luck and extreme accuracy!
btw....Some day I'm going to fly over your camp just to see if you guys are really roughing it. Rumors to the contrary persist. :saywhat:
Hope you and John enjoy the best of hunting.
Hey Mike, are you going to the same place as last year with 40 Mile? Good luck! No big fires there that I know of. Maybe I'll run in to you in Tok again coming or going. I won't be going to my cabin until probably the 7th or so. Work unfortunately is getting in the way. And than I'll spend most of my time rebuilding/improving my trapline while hunting anyway. Luckily I can hit it all before the snow flies is what I want to do. Hope to catch a moose while out and about. They are there! That 4 whlr ride is getting old especially up the creek bed. Talk at you later maybe!
Anyway good luck!
John
John,
different place but with 40 mile. The outfitter moved a moose camp into our spot from the past few years so we had to move.
We'll be in Tok on the 3rd, flying out the 4th.
Mike
Got it! Too bad about having to move. I'll be curious as to where 40 mile moves yeah! Anyway I'll look for you.
- John
Good luck!!!

Always liked the posts about your moose hunt. Especially all the vacuum sealed meal prep stuff. Wishing you a successful and safe hunt.
Got all the shop stuff out of the way. So I guess it's college football to kill some hours.
this year I have dehydrated meals for 16 days in the field. Including: Chili Verde, Chili Colorado, Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, Chicken alfredo, Shrimp Gumbo and a few more. Most will have two appearances each.
Mike
