This longbow made from a Pacific yew stave with a little character. It is backed with kangaroo rawhide which is incredibly tough. The bow is 68" long and pulls 50#@29". The handle wrap is deer leather with kangaroo lace and an ambidextrous tanned beaver tail arrow pass. This bow can be shot both right and left handed. The tip overlays are buffalo horn. The string is D97 and the bow is finished with eight coats of tru oil polished to a satin glow.

Well done, that looks awesome!
Looking good that one.
That is a beautiful bow. I love the curve at full draw. Where do you get Kangaroo rawhide?

Australia :goldtooth:
Pretty Bow. That rawhide complements the Yew sapwood in an almost seamless manor.
So are you going to share your building adventure, or do we just get the bling pics?
What's not to love about that bow! Raw simplicity combined with some superb craft.
Be keen to hear more about it too. Neighbour has this massive unruly yew hedge up her drive....... :)
