I've been playing catch up since we got back but wanted to post about the great hunt that we had in South Africa.
We saw many animals on this hunt but were selective with shots, here is the group with there trophy Impalas and myself with an Nyala.

Terry mentioned a Zonkey, here he is. That thing messed me up twice at two different water holes by snorting and letting the other animals know of the danger!

I saw so many animals on this hunt but didn't take many pictures. When your hunting its hard to take pictures and not spook the game. These animals are 110% wild and wont tolerate a sound or movement.
I would encourage everyone to do this some time! I'm going back net year!
WOW....What an experience ....
I'll be adding later....still catching up myself. If anyone thinks this isn't in your bucket list....you need to get a new bucket!!!

Very cool, been looking forward to the pics.
1st off I'd really like to thank to Mike Yancey for putting this hunt together and bringing it to Tradgangs attention so that other Tradgangers could take advantage of this hunt.....this was a very special adventure for me.

The Nyala is an incredibly beautiful animal. So unusual. All blind hunts? Any stalks?
Neat stuff.....

All blind hunts. I stalked one day for Nyala and got to 30 yards of one but he knew that I was there and didn't stay long and I didn't want to risk a shot with him knowing that I was there. The wind was my worst problem on this trip. So many times I had animals coming in only to be messed up by the wind changing at the last minute.
Looks like a good time...
,,Sam,,
That looks like an incredible trip!!!! I hope there's more pics coming....

Terry, how did you get that self portrait a few pics up? Great photos! It is obvious y'all had a fantastic adventure.

Your Zonkey is actually a rare species called an African wild ass.

Very cool to see one.
Mike
I never saw a zonkey....I saw a zorse though. ....and 3 zebras.
When you see 3 zebras walk in... it really solidifies that you're "not in Kansas anymore" :readit:
