Although he was not computer literate enough to participate here.... He was one of the biggest supporters of Tradgang ever.

Here he is taking his 12 year old son on his 1st out of state hunting trip in 76, on the Osage River in MO......

He passed last night at 10:24 with his son by his side.....

I'm sure gonna miss my Dad. :campfire:

Sorry to hear you lost your father. I lost mine 14 years ago and there is not a day goes by that I wish I could speak to him one more time. His last years he lived at our farm in another home that was just 100 feet from ours so we could take care of him and mom. After mom past dad had memory problems and missed mom very much. I always have felt that as children we should always take care of them like they took care of us in our formative years. The hurt will lessen with time, but never entirely go away. Good luck with the healing process and we here at TG will always give you support if needed.

I've been gone a few days, so sorry I didn't respond sooner. I lost my dad about twenty years ago. And he was THE guy who introduced me to trad archery in 1965. He took me hunting and fishing when I was really young.

It felt like a black hole entered my life, to lose him. But I believe he is in a much better place. He taught me a lot about life and death. He died saying "I am not afraid to die anymore, just don't want to die in pain or a hospital. We were able to honor both requests.

So Sorry for your loss Terry. It's been 5 years and 6 months since I lost my Dad and it's still hard on me at times. We were very close as I am sure you and your Dad were. You and your family will be in my prayers.
