Anyone have one of these models that Dan used to make?

Yes I have a couple Curlews and a Lynx. The Curlew's my favorite three piece takedown bow made by Dan. I have WAY too many bows and if I were ever to get down to a half dozen or so the Curlew is one of the keepers.

I feel bad, I bought this one from a fellow about 10 years ago and he's contacted me several times wondering if I was interested in selling it back to him. I've had that happen a few times, always sold them back....just couldn't keep em knowing they wanted them that bad. Just can't do it with this one, one of the best shooting bows I've ever owned.

All Bocote, 60" 48@30.

I had one a few years back and like a fool I traded it , it was to heavy for me but man did that bow shoot. I'm still looking and if One ever comes up I'm grabbing it ,they are the best of the best.

I had two Curlews that I sold because they were a bit heavy for me...that was before I started reducing bow weights. If I still had them they would be going on a diet.

Yellow Gog...That's a nice bear.  What did he weigh?

Jeff, that's a Roller Coaster bear. Took it the same week I was in camp with you when you arrowed Mrs/Mr big. Was a nice bear but not as heavy as yours. I have to dig thru my pics, I'm sure I have a few of your bruiser.

Your discovery at the skinning table was priceless......

I thought I was going to get one but that kinda fell apart. Too bad I sold another bow first before the other guy sent me pictures of his bow that I was going to try and get. It sounded very promising.

Dan doesn't make a bad bow. They are all awesome. I really like the looks of that one.

azhunter hit the nail on the head! Iowned a couple of the SL Take-down recurves that preceded the Curlew, which I owned one of as well. When Dan brought out the Lynx Take-down Combo he sent me one that I shot for a couple of months at 3d. I have owned a number of Whips, standard and classic. I've ended shooting nothing but Super Ds which I have 3 of. None of these bows have ever required any "quieting down" and they have all been beautifully crafted, well-mannered bows. And Dan has no "waiting list", the longest from order to delivery I've had to suffer has been 29 days.

I think the longest I have waited is maybe 2 1/2 weeks. My Super D is the quietest bow I have.
