OK folks, time to mark your calendars for Saturday July 6th and plan on joining us
at the Tenth Annual Independence Day Traditional Archery Shoot and Celebration to be held once again at Jerry's beautiful place in Dawson County. 524 Shamrock Lane, Dawsonville, Ga 30534. Come as early as you like. This is a family and kid friendly event.
We will be providing smoked Boston butts for a meat entree and as before welcome any sides you care to share. This pot luck style of lunch/dinner has always turned out wonderful thanks to so many wonderful dishes being added to the entre' and we usually start eaing Noonish or shortly after but continues if you arrive later. We will also provide bottled water but if you want other sodas or drinks please bring them.
Plenty of 3D targets spread out over a beautiful mostly shaded course compliments of The Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia. Of course you do not have to shoot a bow to enjoy all the food, fun, and fellowship. You can eat and relax in the shade on the beautiful and huge deck overlooking the lake. We will have novelty shots, fishing, kayaking, and more. Life jackets for kids required if kayaking. If you want to bring fireworks it's a great place to shoot them off.
Want to spend the night and tent camp Friday or Saturday (5th/6th) you are welcome to do so. Porta-potties will be provided.
We REALLY look forward to this event each year and hope we have the best turnout ever so please make plans to join us!! Our 4th of July shoot events were started in 2010 at Al's place in Marietta but after only two years there his place couldn't adequately accommodate the crowds. Jeff Hampton graciously offered to host it at his place in Powders Springs (2013) and did so for three years running. We missed having it in 2015 but in 2016 Jerry offered his new place to host it and this will be the 4th year there. Please share and invite a friend.
Remember the date July 6- that's a Saturday. Hope to se you there!

Just a bump to keep this on the radar. Hope to see some of the Tradgang family there.
Looking forward to it.....
This right down the road from me. I'll be there for sure. :)
:bigsmyl: TTT
Getting close.......
It is getting close.
If anyone is coming and needs a bow for a family member or friend, we will have a dozen or so loaners bows available.
I cut a 40' bullseye into the dam of the lake so some of the guys I hunt with can hit something. [attachment=1]
:biglaugh: :biglaugh: from what distance??
Ron we shoot this bullseye from about 90 yards. There is a toilet seat in the center. We call it the "potty shot" and normally give away a hog hunt, fishing trip etc for the winner. It helps us with the cost of the shoot.
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: looking forward to the shoot......
For those coming to the shoot...
When you get on Shamrock Lane which is a dirt road, go to the very end/ no matter what your GPS says. We are on the lake.
