I should be getting my Black Widow SAIII today when I get off work! I sold one of my rifles so I could some arrows too. I think I am going to the shop Monday or Tuesday. I don't know what shaft I will end up with. Hopefully Axis or something like them. Bow is like I said earlier a SAIII 58" 53@28. Nice sice for either one of my blinds.
Good for you congrats. I have two and love them. Don't forget pics. when you get it.
My Widows are similar....been using CE heritage 250s out of them for close to 12 years with good results.
Thanks
Never dropped a string on one but they didn't get their reputation for being junk! Congrats
I would believe that your anticipation is running a little high.
You won't regret getting a Widow. Got my PSA as a wedding gift from my wife. Shot it exclusively for 10 years. Learned quickly that I should not shoot two arrows at the same spot...arrows are expensive. Took a lot of deer with it.
Just got my PLX last week....always wanted one. I really should have bought one a long time ago.
While I was down with shoulder surgery. I had a buddy come and try my pch out. He had never shot a widow. By the time he left my house, he was shooting softball size groups at 40 yards consistently. He is one of the most methodical shots I have ever seen with a recurve and it shows.
Congratulations! I really Love my Autumn Oak too. Looks, and Performance.
Don't forget the pictures!
I don't use photobucket anymore. I could text them to someone if they would post them for me.

Replace the o-rings, wax the pins, new string...with bow hush on loop ends plus silencers (has good luck with hush puppies or the BW spiders). Play around with brace height...mine likes 8 &1/2 to 8& 5/8. Check brace height periodically.
Might need a new shelf rest. You may want to swap out the limb bolts for the brass ones.
Stu-Miller calculator is a decent tool to play around with to figure out a matching arrow combo.
A beauty!!!!!!
We ended up with 400 GoldTip traditionals, 100 grain brass insert and 125 grain field points.
