Sorry this is such short notice but I've been burning the candle at both ends. For anyone who may be interested I'm giving some two-hour seminars on some of my proven whitetail hunting strategies and techniques. The first one will be this weekend at Coyote Creek Gun and Archery, 3600 S. Broadway, Rochester, MN. I'm talking the day after tomorrow, June 1, 2019 starting at 10AM and going through 12 noon. I've decided to give away some of my trade secrets before I kick the bucket. I'm not planning on that soon but you never know. I'm doing a couple dozen more this summer but don't have the schedules finalized until next week, so stay tuned to see if there's one within reasonable striking distance to your home. Some of this material is not common knowledge to a lot of folks, so it should be well received. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the price is right.. the whole deal is free of charge. I don't guarantee much but I'd pretty much bet you'll go home a better deer hunter. Hope to see you there. Thanks. BW
Sounds like a great opportunity, Barry. If they are anything like your Out and About videos they will be excellent. I sure hope you have at least one within driving distance of eastern SD.
I just really like the idea of sharing outdoor knowledge by old woods rats like Barry. You can't beat this deal. Some may think it's too good to be true but believe me it is. My hats off to my bowhunting brother Barry Wensel.
If you get anywhere near me I'll be there with bells on. :notworthy:
Charlie, he'll be at Cloverdale Trad Nationals one week from today speaking in the evening and be at his booth through Sunday the 9th. Then Monday the 10th he'll be in Terra Haute IN at a church doing a show. There is a thread on here on that location started by Mike Bolin.
David
PLEASE, PLEASE come to the northeast.
there are a lot of whitetail hunters in NJ.
^this right here Barry.
Any plans for Ohio or WV Barry? I saw one of your seminars in the mid 80s and would love to see another.
Anything scheduled for Kentucky, Tennessee, or even So. Indiana?
Otis... Cloverdale is about 4 tanks of gas, a motel for a couple of nights and food away. If he'd not just down the road it's not in the budget... and the road's underwater right now.
I've always enjoyed talking with Barry and listening to him speak. I always learn something. If a man wants to improve his game he needs to seek out Barry's engagements and buy his videos.
This is not a promotion. It's just fact.
On Monday, June 10th at 5:00 pm Barry will be at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute Indiana. Having a ham and bean dinner at 5:00 and Barry will give his seminar at 6:00. Contact me at 812-249-1481 or PM me thru this site with and questions.
One hour after a ham and bean dinner :scared: Is it open air? :saywhat:
One thing I'd be willing to bet on is that these seminars aren't going to be two hours long. Once Barry gets rolling he has a hard time quitting. :biglaugh:
Barry, if you've got two hours worth of trade secrets to reveal then that means you've really been holding out on us! Hope all is well. Still need to get my hands on the new videos. Take care man.
I understand Charlie. I saw Barry and Gene years ago at the Whitetail Classic in Indianapolis doing their Rambling
Rednecks show. What a riot. Laughed so hard my guts hurt. I got his Out and About DVD's from him and looking forward to listening to his talk also.
David
Yeah, if I was going to the seminar I'd buy the new "Out and About" video first. Or maybe watching the video AFTER would be the smart thing to do. Either way I'd get the video. I'm sure Barry will have his videos for sale at the seminar.
Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement for these "How-To" seminars. As stated, a lot of my material is not common knowledge so it is usually very well received. My biggest problem is working with other peoples available schedules. For example, last evening I received an email from a store in Coshocton, OH I had booked for July 20th. Their facility would apparently hold 150 attendees and they were enthusiastic. He was afraid there would be more than 150 attending so asked me to do one seminar from 10 to Noon and a second one from 2PM to 4PM in order to accommodate everyone. No problem. Then last night I got a very apologetic email saying he was sorry to inform me their store decided to shut their doors for good last Tuesday, May 28th. What a shame.
That means I have now had a total of three cancellations: June 29; July 6 and now July 20th. I realize it's rather short notice but if anyone has a nearby facility for me to consider please let me know. In a nutshell, there is no cost to the host facility; no cost for attendees; no hidden agendas or obligations. I just want to share some secrets that have proven successful to me for many decades. I want you to succeed and hand the knowledge down to our next generations.
The store or hunting club would need either an archery range to set up chairs in; or a seminar room that would seat 100-150 attendees. If anyone is interested, please send me the contact person, have them contact me or I'll call them to answer any questions. I even send the host facility colored, eye-catching posters to be displayed in higher traffic areas in their store or locally to help promote the event for everyone. Thanks. BW
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
That Coshocton store closing is a double whammy for me. I lose a hunting store and a chance to attend a BW seminar.

For anyone looking at attending the July 13th seminar in Northeast Indiana, please place an order on our web site, or call us, so we can have a head count. I just created a Facebook event for it as well. If you would be willing to share that event it is a BIG HELP to us.
The event is free to register and attend, just need to have an idea on how many chairs to rent. Thanks!
:campfire:
Should be able to make it to the one in Gaylord. Awesome!
I'm gonna keep my eye on the seminar at Jay's in Clare August 31st. :archer2:
The Wisconsin Traditional Archers will be sending out an email blast to notify their members. Thank you Barry, I hope you have a good turn out.
Any scheduled for the south?
gonna do all I can to make it to ETAR this year mainly just to catch 1 of these seminars!
I'm presently on the road. Just finished up Cloverdale and Compton last weekend. Great to see all the old timers again. I got to visit friends I haven't seen in FIFTY years. We need to address more of our younger folks into our future ranks. That's the main reason I'm doing these "how-to" seminars for free. The next one will be in Jackson, MI at Brian Schupbach's Sporting Goods Store in Jackson on Saturday June 22, 2019. You can call their store at: 517-782-8418 to confirm times. There are another dozen or so scheduled for the rest of the summer that I'll update as we progress. Unfortunately, the only one I have booked in the "south" right now are two seminars at the Virginia Outdoor Sports Show in Richmond, VA Aug. August 9-10-11, 2019. Hope some of you can make it.. the price is right! Thanks. BW
The Jackson, MI whitetail seminar will be from 1PM thru 3PM. Saturday 6/22. Thanks. bw
Any chance you'd like to drop into NW Arkansas for one of those open dates? I'd be more than happy to cook you up a nice rib dinner.
I wish I could but I'm driving between shows and not charging anyone for gas, motels, etc. It's a long way from Indiana, Wisconsin, PA, Ohio and VA to NW Arkansas. Maybe next year. Thanks anyway. By the way, I like my steaks rare. Ha. Five and six nights in motels between shows at $100. a night is heavy. bw

I totally understand. Well if you make it down here next year, then your welcome at my place and the wife and I can cook you up some nice home cooked dinner instead of you dining out.
