Hey Everyone,
I scored an invite from a mate to head out with him last weekend to Arhnem Land. This part of the country is owned by the Traditional Owners, and access is limited.
I had a few opportunites at mature bulls, but was busted twice drawing my bow at under 20 yards. I managed to take this young bull, and we butchered him and gave him to the community to be shared.
Cheers,
Memo

Dang nice Australian Buffalo Steven. If that's a young one, I'd most like soil myself if an old one came toward me at 20 yards. Those things are HUGE! Congrats Mate! :clapper:
Congrats, may we have some of the details on your setup? I would like to think I could do that hunt someday. Congrats again
Awesome!
Are asiatic buffalo good to eat?
Congrats memo. What was the tackle for this one?
Thanks fellas,
ESP/OzyClint gear was Toelke Whip #65 and Goldtip Traditionals 75/95 with 100gn brass insert and 175gn Grizzly/125gn steel adapter for 770gn total arrow weight. would consider this poundage minimum, but feel that a 700gn arrow would be fine.
Sticknstring/Jrod/KennyM Buffalo is similar to beef, tastier but tougher.
