Post by: Bow man on April 29, 2019, 07:19:14 PM
This past winter we started playing with Carbon limbs and it has gone well.  We just delivered this one to Bryan, It has a Black and White Ebony riser and is a 2 pC TD with the Conextion hinge 60" St Joe Classic Carbon 45@28"

The hinge is shrouded in a beautiful BW Ebony grip overlay.

Thank you very much for those photos.  Cool design.
It is light weight, and allows us to do the multitude of custom grip shapes that we are known for.

What carbon you using? Are you happy with the gains from it. BTW nice looking bow.

There are performance gains.

But the real gains are in the feel.

I've been shooting another 60" St Joe classic since 2013. It was my go to bow for everything.  I enjoyed the design, so knew it was going to be the base for my super fancy custom build.

I only hounded Tracey and Dave for a few years to get them to use carbon.

With the carbon, a much larger percentage of the limb appears to be 'working'.  Which makes it exceptionally smOOOooooooooooother than my other classic.  I was not expecting that.  I was simply expecting a similar feeling bow with a bit more umph.  The bit more umph is there, but it feels like there's less on the draw and on the shot.

My guess is that in 10years I'll probably have another one made a few lbs lighter.  But I'm done bow shopping.  I'm beyond content.  It's a liberating feeling.
