Title: Back by popular demand F. R. O. G Team 2018 video
Post by: South MS Bowhunter on April 20, 2019, 09:09:53 PM
Now remember when viewing that I the Supreme Leader and Captain had been injured during the Termites attack. That explains why I had a lot of near hits :goldtooth:

And a big thanks to our PR technician Scouts wife Elizabeth.  Although it only took her a year and a half to produce it. I would consider a pay raise if not for that :biglaugh:

Nice video but you probably should have posted it on a bow hunting forum. Small game don't seem to drum up a lot of excitement 😁

John,
That was a great video and I felt as if I was right there. Now 3/4 the way through the video where I think Tom grouped 3 red feathered arrows and Sniper took a shot and took off running  Well that was down right funny.
Grown men having fun is what it's all about and then a Frog fry. I appreciate the video and enjoyed it very much. Thanks John for letting us tag along.. :archer:

That was Scout (Kirk) who shot the pretty group to the left of the frog. If he would listen to his Captain and tune his arrows better that would have been a great shot.

But instead we were blessed with his frog dance😂

Keith, glad you enjoyed. Frogs help us cope with the post season blues while giving us an excuse to bend our sticks. If I were a better deer hunter perhaps deer videos would be our thing. That swamp is full off life and we are blessed to have it at our back door. We're hoping the flood waters will subside so we can get  back at it. Don't think falling on one of those Cypress knees didn't cross my mind but I couldn't wait for Captain to break out in a sprint! :smileystooges:

Supreme Leader and Captain don't do snake, frog, or cypress knee slaloms😜

You are the type of Guys I would like to hang around with and who appreciate the gifts our Creator has given us . Now what type of heads did you guys use and flash lights to light up the area? That is one item I wouldn't want battery's to run out while in the swamp or folks would swear they heard a Squatch screaming :biglaugh:

We use flat washers behind field points and VPA Thumper small game points mostly

Scout, there you go giving away "TopSecret" intell😳, I don't thing he'll ever learn🤔

But since he's already spelt everything out to the public domain I might as well correct it.

The point we use are actually ballistic VPA thumpers that's  why there are so many dead frogs from what looked like harmless misses. Although we would have to slow down the videos so much for you to see it but those frogs that I appeared to miss were actually just outside the field of view "dead".

The Supreme Leader and Captain used a Stream light "Stinger" for several seasons before passing the torch to Scout last year. Came with two rechargeable batteries and the charger. This year I'm using the Finix PD-35. Jury's still out on which one I liked better.

The Stream light had a more focus beam where the Finix is more wide and has the white light that tends to flood the area to the point of hiding the subject with its brightness.
