I ended up buying a second book of yours and sending it to a friend of mine..... Good stuff Sir!
Hi Mike, great book everyone should get a copy, do you plan
on going moose hunt this September?
Thanks
Randy
As you know Mike I got the book and it's a "Special" one at that as you may recall when our first daughter Up chucked romaine noodles on it while flying on a 747 getting our second out of three adopted daughter's and lucky my wife caught the most of those noodles in her hand while holding them like a cup lol.
I also purchased the "Chasing Solitude "and have watched it and what a great dvd.
One will feel as if they are right there if they purchase and watch. Beautiful country and Thanks Mike for All you have done for Ande,Kaci and Darci. :archer:
Randy, Terry and Keefer you have been strong proponents of my book and films. As a solo bowhunter you know I have a good connection with moose. The moose has not changed in hundreds if not thousands of years and I find a connection to ancient man through the moose. To further connect to the individual animals that I hunt, I also do my own taxidermy. I won't be able to hunt moose this fall due to knee surgery, but I did manage to mount my latest bull and get him up on the wall last week. Now I can sit back during my recovery after last Mondays surgery and enjoy my moose close at hand. Mike

Great stuff Mike.... I will be downloading your moose hunt this week.... I'm in need of a good video.... I need some solitude myself!!!!
Awesome trophy room, Mike...
Page wouldn't load for me. But Awesome I'll keep checking back.
Mike, you are one of the best ambassadors to our great sport.
I would share camp with you anytime.
Thanks for taking us along with your DVDs and books.
Wish you a great recovery on your surgery.
Randy
Wow Mike your Man cave looks like my Taxidermist man cave and he is a Traditional bow hunter as well with mounts everywhere. Now which one of those three moose hanging on that wall is the one you got on film on Primal dreams. My guess is the one on the right as we see it?
Second question do you have a few pictures of "Shakes" after you had him mounted and if so can I see a few cause he has been one my all time favorites for some reason. Thanks for giving us a look at your man cave .God Bless Mike and praying your knee heals quickly! :archer:
LC . I find the website to be operable and digital download link in the store to be functional; however, I also have heard from folks that different devices and maturity of running plate forms may effect the loading. My suggestion is to try to access my website Herd Bull Productions directly and if possible from another source, ie computer or laptop.
Keefer - I remember your appreciation of Tree Shaker, a 6 1/2 year old buck I took in 2011. These photos do not depict the mass of this buck in my opinion, but yes he was a special buck to me as well. He lived on my hunting property and both me and my brother passed this buck up at close range multiple times over the years we got to share with his environment. Thanks, Mike

Thank you Mike and the actual picture you sent me both Shakes and Twister both have really swelled necks and swollen eyes . One the most cherished pictures I have that you sent and I like looking at the finished mount as well and appreciate you taking a picture and posting him.
Thanks for your kind consideration, Mr. Mitten.
Yeah love the trophy Room....
Since my warehouse is no longer my conference Room at office adornments are now over in my mother's basement waiting for me to find Room....
I'm sure miss saying hello to all my favorite memories Every morning...
Excellent. Good to have the digital handy for traveling; no need to pack the hard copy all over. It did pass a lot of wicked storm time in Alaska back when it first came out though.
Mr. Mitten;
Again thanx. The note is greatly appreciated and the picture most likely will be framed.

Thanks for the support.
Really enjoyed your video!
What's up with the mass of antler on that moose's forehead? I've never seen that before. Pretty neat looking! Your taxidermy looks really good as well!
The bony mass on forehead and down the face is actually antler material. A third antler if you will, but it does originate from the right antler. I believe this was due to a fight in previous years that may have damaged a portion of the right pedicel. The mass was covered in dark and bloody dried velvet that did not yet get rubbed off. After pressure washing the skull plate required prior to transport to lower 48, the velvet got blasted off. Instead of trying to resore as original look, I just stained the bony antler to match the color of the other two. You can read about this Solo hunt in a post I made in 2017 about my solo Alaskan moose hunt here on TRADGANG. Whether you hunt moose or not, I think folks will enjoy the "Chasing Solitude" film for its pure adventure, wildlife and Alaskan habitat.
Mike

I'll look forward to it.

Mike,
Good luck on your up-coming surgery. I had both knee joints replaced last spring and was headed to Montana for elk hunting four months after the second one. Do the PT like you MEAN IT! You will be back after moose again.
Your book Chasing Solitude is a great achievement. I bought a second copy and gave it to the son of a friend of mine for his high school graduation present. There is a lot in your book that can help (I hope) a young guy get a sense of direction about life. I hope it works in this case. We will see.
I am eagerly waiting for your next video or book.
So get well and get back to the hunt!
Best Regards,
JMC
