Title: Idaho Spring bear
Post by: Aaron Proffitt 2 on March 07, 2019, 11:40:03 AM
Cousin by marriage and I are going to the Bonners Ferry area in May to join a friend I was in Afghanistan with . Wish we could bait, but that'll put to much work on John to do by himself. So it's gonna be spot and stalk.

Anything we need to be concentrating on such as food sources ? I definitely had figured on glassing meadows for grazing bruins, but was wondering if there might be others we're missing.
Thanks all,
Aaron

Used to hunt south facing avalanche slides in the mountains in BC. Find green grass. Late afternoons seem to be much more productive.

Green grass certainly seems the commonality

There is a good population of bear so you should be good to go.

Come as late as possible we got quite a bit of snow late February. Not a lot of meadows to glass around here might have some luck glassing the mountain hill side from the valley floor.
