I picked this little popper up off our classifieds for a very good price, a 64" Pawtucket mild r/d longbow that's about 48# at my new-to-me 28" draw length (used to be 29", getting older). Braces to a nice "D" shape. All bamboo limbs under clear glass, a very plain jane purpleheart riser, shelf cut to center. Spun up a new D'02 string and she do shoot purty good if I can manage to do my thing, and will regularly group bare shafts nicely at 13 yards.

Good looking bow and good shooting :archer2:
I'm partial to purple heart in the riser it adds just enough mass weight. And you can never call it plain Jane!!! Also, in Texas it's "a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile", nice acorn. :coffee: :campfire: :bigsmyl:
Yep, that is a very nice acorn. Congratulations!
Excellent find Rob...
There are many a trad treasurs out there.
only issue is that it's one piece, which makes it a burden for fly-out hunts. but i'd sure like to kill something for the supper pot with it.
