No sir I'm in Ohio, That's why it's so rare for me to see something like this in the snow.
Thanks for sharing, rare indeed. very cool camo affect in snow.
She made the others stand out like a sore thumb.
I'm green with envy but also delighted that you got to see that and were able to share it. I've always wanted to see a piebald deer in the wild.
I saw my first piebald last August. Pretty neat.
I've seen pibalds before....but not in the snow....it was beautiful.
Always wanted to see one on person
Cool!
That is very cool  definitely don't see them often.
Almost a spirit deer!
Cool pic!

That is really cool. Might never see that again
That's so neat! Hope to see one some day.
Wow!!!
That is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see something like that I saw one once on the side of the road hit by a car. Nothing like the tree you just got
👌👌
So Cool :campfire:
Really cool. I saw a piebald and photographed an albino doe last week for the first time. Unfortunately, no snow.
Camouflage now. Summer not so much.[emoji1]
Nice pics sir. Appreciate you sharing them.

She's in her environment. Awesome pic, thanks for sharing.
Bisch, I've seem melanistic deer at Camp Bullis, as well.
Where were you in Ohio Terry if you don't mind me asking?
Awesome picture Terry, thanks for sharing!
Yeah Terry...
That is COOL!
Years ago I lived in Cedarville Michigan for about five years. There was a small group of these critters that showed themselves frequently. Awesome! have never seen them prior or after. I consider myself lucky to have had that experience..
I have never seen a piebald deer, even though they are periodically seen in the area. Also, I have never hunted in snow. I came close once, but it was more ice than snow. So many limbs and trees were breaking, though, that I was a bit scared and left early. I really liked these pictures. Maybe some day, I will get to take some like these.
Great photo - not just the subject, but a great photo. I used to hunt an area in Northern Virginia that had a matriarch piebald doe. I watched her over 3 seasons with different fawns. Most were normal color, 2 had minor piebald markings. The landowner and other nearby landowners told us we could shoot any deer on the property except the piebalds. She got hit by a car the fourth year and we stopped seeing any more. I also saw a completely white yearling with a normal doe (mother) one day about 20 miles from the first location. The yearling was probably piebald and not albino. I never got to see any of them in the snow. What a rare treat!
stinger.... Yeah I went to bed of a picture considered it was a cell phone I end it was zoomed in About a 3rd.
Buckeye..... In the area of Wright Patterson Air Force base.
I wondered if that's where you were. I believe that's the same deer I've seen many times. By Wright state university?
Yes....she was on campus. Small world huh?
No doubt! There's a 170" 12 point in there too! They know where they're safe
I will be back in April... I'll see if I can find time to look for some sheds.
once in a lifetime is right, have not seen a piebald in 30 yrs. almost had a shot too...till i saw it was that years fawn still a fantastic experience
Good pic!
If you did not notice the horizonal line, you might miss seeing the deer. :clapper:
North Central Pa albino doe.
Taken with cell phone from about 100 yards.

So Cool :campfire:
absolutely!
I had a chat with Terry yesterday about his "Pibald" experience in Ohio...and, to his point many hunters have experienced this but not so many in snow. I can easily relate as I lived in Michigan's UP (Cedarville) for approx five years.
A "saying" up there: "Summer in Cedarville is like six months of bad sledding"
....Anyhoooo,
There was a "family" of pibalds living for years within the city limits. Last I remember, the six point was poached...everybody knew he went missing...some knew who dunnit..... nobody came forward...not surprising.
As Terry posted - Awesome to see these critters in a snowy environment...very cool indeed!
Very nice!
Great woodland experience and sweet photo Terry. Seeing a piebald and an albino deer while hunting are still on my 'Bucket List'.
That's just way to cool :bigsmyl:
