Good morning everybody, just curious to see if anyone has heard if the ski lift will be operational this year at ETAR. I'm hoping that some took over the responsibility of the resort to reopen as a full blown resort
I would be very surprised if it is open. That is a state park operated ski resort and the business isn't enough to invest the huge amount of money to bring the lift up to safety standards. Someone may have more on this but I wouldn't expect it to be running.
Thank you.
I probably didnt look hard enough, but did a quick search. What are the dates this year???
It goes from July 25 to July 28.
I just pray it doesn'train this year. I came within an inch of doing a face plant in the mud last coming off of the Canadian.

Thanks! I'm going to try and make it this year.
You are very welcome. I hope that you can make it there too. It's an event that I try not to miss. I'm going to try to hit the Baltimore bowmen classic too oh, I hear that's a great time as well
It's all most a sure bet the lift will not be operational. There are many problems with it and from what management of the event says very costly to fix. It was fun when it worked we can only hope some day.
I can imagine that it is expensive to fix. You are right, hopefully someday because it was fun riding to the top and shooting our way down.
I plan to be there ski lift or not...tippit
Absolutely
The only way the lift will be operational again is if some entity reopens the ski resort for the winter and that is not likely. Just not enough there to draw in the skying crowd needed to make it profitable.

And that is a shame. Coudersport is such a cool little town to visit.
Yes it is
Tracey and I will be back again. We will be having our 38th Wedding anniversary there. See you all in July
Sorry for the delayed reply Bow man but congrats on 38 years!!
When the governor legalizes marijuana he will have all of that tax money to spend to repairing it....
Just like the state did with all of the tobacco settlement money.

If you need the lift, consider sawmill there lift was working last year. Not many venders and almost NO lines on courses, same people run it as Denton just smaller, 5 -6 3D loops and canoe shoot. Just a few weeks earlier. June 21-24
+1 for Sawmill.
