My bow is tuned and shoots the older Heritage 250 (500) with 100 grn insert very well. I never had problems and really like the 10gpi as well.
I finally need to buy a dozen shafts and wanted to ask if I switched to the new Heritage shafts would I even notice a difference. What are people seeing or switching to other arrows.
I always though the 250s were .400... Am I wrong?
I have shot the old and new ones in 250 and 150.I know the grain weight changed a tad and the spine I believe is slightly different.
I don't think their will be much difference between the new and old ones though that would make much difference.
250 is a 400 spine. The old dark colored ones were never very tough. Those were the only ones I would break regularly stumping. The new ones are good
Yes 250 are 400
Correct I shoot the 150's. Anyone had any issues switching to the new versions?
They changed twice, original were dark, then light with same markings, like 3 years ago they changed the logo. I asked if the spine changed and the answer was no (think Big Jim said no change, he doesn't sell 3rd generation that I can find, maybe guys didn't like the larger logo)
150's are 500
250's are 400
I still have around 20 2nd generations and have not gone to third yet, seems every time I find a carbon shaft it changes or is discontinued

Yes this is why I bought 10 DZ of FMJ
Yeah my last batch lasted for almost 10 years and I knew they changed and not sure if Big Jim still gets the older verisions anymore. I remember he posted before when he got a batch and the 150 are hard to find.
My next closing I'll try the new verision to see how they turn.
all mine are from around 1998,, I hope they didn't change too much... if they did are they weaker or stiffer?

Generation 2 was slightly weaker, think version 3 is the same, as I remember anyway
I have both old and new ones and I can't tell any difference
I hate to be a me tooer, but I echo what Dennis just typed...The new fly the same as the old for me.
The 350, 250 and 150 spine did not change much but on the 90's and 75's the spine changed a good bit enough to have to change your set up I had to cut maybe 1/4" to 1/2" from each arrow to make up for the lower spine in the newer shafts
not to hijack the OP's thread but good info fellas thank you,,, I do have 90's also and that's where I was going with that and did everyone just trim some off but Dennis answered it.. ordering 6 150's tonight I heard I can get the logo off with that green scrub pad and acetone,, I'm not a fan of it so we'll see.
Yeah 1st thing I'm doing is to remove the logos. Way too big and I think doesn't look good.
I am glad to hear the newer ones are the same as the older ones. I just ordered some new 150's and this was in the back of my mind. You guys have set my mind at ease. :clapper:
Tell us how they shoot compared to the old ones.
I noticed no difference in arrow flight between the old stock 150s and the new ones.
Glad to hear! I really didn't want to change arrows. I really liked their weight and price
