My new Liberty chief arrived yesterday 60"48#@28,all yew ,cocobolo riser.Fit and finish is excellant, smooth draw, quiet and seems to have very good speed, but i was shooting 10 yards!!After setting nock point and brace height started flinging a few differant arrows,35/55 carbon,1916,2016 and a woody. My draw is 26" so i figure it's around 42#s.I haven't shot but 70 arrows or so in over a year because of shoulder injury. The first 4 arrows 2 of them were touching, the other two were close. The second time two touching and the 3rd ruined my flething on one of the arrows i just re fletched, but as i said i was only shooting 10 yards, seemed the bow liked the 1916s the best but i'll wait and see what 20 yards will do.Allen was GREAT to work with,i e-mailed on the weekend and only one e-mail i believe was not answered in a couple hours, also talked to him on the phone a few times, very nice man to do business with!!!!
Just wanted to give credit to another GREAT bowyer out there!!!Wish i could take pics but someone took my camera!!
Thanks Allen

Kelley40,
I'm curious. If your draw is 26", why was the bow's poundage made for a 28" draw? I've ordered a Blacktail T/D recurve from Norm Johnson and that bow will be between 40-42 pounds at my 30" drawlength.
Well Ron, I think you made a good choice in your bow and its maker. I have owned 6 of Allens bows and just ordered my eighth (only have 3 now as I sold the others to upgrade). It will be a Liberty "Chief Elite" 62" 50#@28". Gaboon Ebony riser, bamboo core and fiddleback maple belly & back. His bows are beautiful to look at and are great shooters too. I wouldn't own anything else. You won't be sorry. ENJOY! Ray
Me again, Before anyone says that I can't count, the 7th bow I got from Allen was a gift to a friend, so technically I didn't own it. Ray
