Shoot as many as you can at shoots, shows or where ever you can and you decide.

I have a Widow and love it. Never shot a Border, but a friend had one and said they are fast and a very good bow, and he also has a Widow. He no longer has the Border but he has a couple Wilows. Alan

If you are thinking of buying a widow, go ahead and do it now, because you WILL buy one someday anyway.  Trust me I know.  I have owned about 6 Widows and they were all fine bows.  I haven't got to shoot a Border YET!!!!!

Widow's service is the best I've ever seen, plus their bows are some of the best made. It's really a personal choice for whichever bow "shoots" for you.

I have both and both are great bows in their own right. BW's have great customer service and they stand behind their product. After owning three used Borders and selling two to buy one, I recently ordered a new Border. They are also great people to deal with and it helps that their Black Douglas is one of the finest shooting bows I have ever shot. I like both bows and would probably choose one over the other if I had to. Both are smooth and forgiving and the Border probably has the advantage in speed and quietness. It is a difficult choice but because they are both great bows you won't go wrong which ever one you choose.

I shot a fellas BW once at a shoot and after shooting my Martin Vision the BW seemed like it had some hand shock to it. Did this guy have his set up wrong or are all of them like that?

Rusty,

I believe this guy must have had it set up wrong or something. I have never felt any hand shock from a BW. They may sound like a .22 rifle going off, if it was a recurve, but no hand shock.

Use the search feature and type "best"...if for nothing else, you'll have plenty of reading to do.

Rob may not allow that level of ambiguity...you may need "best recurve"
