This is a topic I have been wanting to discuss for some time and Clay Hayes seemed like the perfect guest to join us in the discussion. We have a very frank discussion from the heart about getting kids immersed into hunting, not just setting them up for a quick kill. We also discuss hunter recruitment, hunter retention and more. For me this discussion was in my top 5 conversations we have had on the podcast.
I hope you enjoy to dialog! You can listen on your favorite podcast platform or use the embeded player at the bottom of the website linked below:

With all due respect to see or hear something it's got to be accessible. I have no idea what a podcast platform is, I def have no fav one and I'll be honest this site and this phone are almost above me.
I miss simpler times.
With all due respect back, I have made every effort to make the podcast available to everyone In fact once you spend a little time learning how to access them you will find they are VERY accessible and you have access to more free information than you could ever imagine. If you click on the link provided you should be able to use the player on the webpage to listen.
Missing simpler times should not be an excuse to not learn something new. I would love to have a platform like radio to do spread the message of the Outdoors Experiences that I am trying to promote but I do not have the money or the fame to accomplish that. What I can do is leverage technology to expose new people to the pastimes that we love and hold dear and try in some small way to pull them away from the hunting "reality shows" that make up hunting on TV.
If you would like you can use this link as an easier way to listen to the show and you might find that you enjoy it and want to hear more (my show or any of the thousands that are out there free for everyone to consume)
I am MORE than happy to assist you in learning how to take advantage of this wonderful and free platform for learning new things or remembering our past. Just shoot me a PM or even give me a call directly at 770-365-2986 and I would be more than happy to assist!

I'm not bashing it at all. I just don't even know what one is and honestly there's nothing there I don't know. When you mention kids though that's near n dear to my heart. Kids are our future, imo we need to grow em. I'm a NWTF mentor, we do kids, women's,disabled vet events. I teach kids archery for the PAL, State, Federal govt, local gun range all summer, Jakes day's, we do a disabled vet fish/barbecue day and I'm involved w kids fish derbies. Also an archery hunter ed instructor and if a kid does fail I've been known to give the parents my number and I help them for free. Add to that some private mentoring of all sorts of kids. I only say this as I'm sure he's got great ideas so my interest was peaked.
Kids are our future, whatever it takes I just don't feel the desire to learn anything newfangled. I make a mark passing it on and I feel it's not a dead animal that determines a successful hunt. It's teaching the ways toward that success that matter. No disrespect to you so please understand.
I'll try your link, thank you
I find my grandson responds well to information presented in media he's used too. Youtube and podcasts are the new world order.
I like listening to podcasts when I have time. last year while flying to Alaska I listened to Meateater podcasts and actually enjoy them and learned something.

I did not take it as bashing, just responding with my thoughts and offer to assist. No offense was taken on my end sir. :)
People don't know what they're missing. With a modern phone and the stitcher app it's like a tailored radio experience. I listen while I'm working and driving.
Great Podcast this week. Nice job Steve and Nick
I love listening to podcasts while working on homework. This was a good one!
