Post by: Stickbow on December 28, 2018, 08:24:00 PM
Does anyone know how far past center if at all they are cut?

I think about zero. They are sanded to the I beam. So maybe a thousandth past center? I had three of them. Nice bows but my favorite one has a hairline crack in the maple lam.

I believe the cut to center response was correct.  Those are nice bows, very quick to point with nice cast and great lookers.  Add a little history to that and what more could a neotradite want?

great bows...I shot one for over a year...killed a couple deer and a yote with it...maybe the smoothest bow ive owned...good speed...quiet. dead in  hand....hated the feather rest though...never was a fan of that...

Quote.hated the feather rest though...never was a fan of that.

The feather rest was what the original 59 bows had on them plus a lot of other bows in that time period, it was a popular arrow rest. I had an original 1959 Kodiak back in the day, it was a very popular model. Back then Bear changed their design almost every year but I hunted with my 59 for many years.

I now own one of the new 59's and I'm impressed with Bear's dedication to reproducing an exact copy of that model.
