Post by: Recurve Amigo on December 18, 2018, 08:33:54 PM
Part of my practicing to go hunting is speed shooting for accuracy it's good training. Check it out to see if you could benefit.

Not say it won't but why do you feel that will help? I'm a big form guy, I can't really tell from the sped up video how your form was but imo it'd be more beneficial practicing actual hunt type shots.
My buddies and I routinely do things to help. One is we all shoot one arrow at a 3D deer from a stand. Best shot picks next one. I invariably pick straight down. Most guys don't practice that and often miss. Other things we do is stress training. Something simple like tic tac toe teaches picking a spot and shooting under pressure. There's lots of things that'll help. Shooting w gear like jacket, gloves, hat, etc. I don't get the speed thing though. It might be good to deter a bunch of guys from entering your posted property though lol. I hope you took that as only a good natured joke.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts

I would be concerned about an arrow skipping off the top of the target and sailing over that fence. Things happen!!!

One good controlled hunting shot is all you need to kill a deer.
