For those who have shot one, what are your thoughts on the late model phoenolic SK's. How do they perform next to the B riser / #1 limb TD. Also, in the photos the SK's appear to have a somewhat high wrist grip, is this the case. All thoughts are welcome. I am mainly looking at the 60" model.
I just got one of the blems from Big Jim in 60in 55#. It shoots great. It has a high wrist grip and nice mass in the riser. I only draw 27.5 but it is smooth as silk all the way back. Easiest drawing bow I have in that weight class. It points well and looks great. It is a little twangy in the noise department but I got a new string getting ready to make its way on there I hope that will help. It shoots as good as I will let it.
I hope that helps. Here is a pic from today just for kicks.

Does anyone have thoughts on how it shoots compared to the regular wood riser SK?
I also bought a 60 in Black Beauty blem. It seems to shoot well and I have sorted out some arrows for it without much trouble. The blem part of mine was nearly invisible but my handle section also began to show stress lines almost immediately. :scared:So far I see them only right in the handle. I am hoping they wont be an issue as I like the bow but I guess time will tell.
I posted this on this and another trad site and got VERY few responses on either. I guess the SK has a lot less followers than I thought. I may reconsider going that direction. As I am a lefty, try before you buy is rarely an option.
