Need to see those recurves both at full draw and just strung. If the curves aren't changing it's a static recurve.

I'm gonna have to say static. Based on the full draw and the form in the background, it doesn't appear as though the tips opened up at all.
I'd call that static unless the tips touch the limbs at brace.
I dont know Mike if you look at the braced pic in the FHRC thread they are opening up compared to it ,but they are not completly unwinding like some curves so maybe like you said semi static !
How about a braced and unbraced pic.
either draw a profile on paper at rest and compare it at full draw,
or trap a piece of thread under the string on the back side, and also put a rubber band down the curve where needed, that will trap the thread- go to full draw, this will draw the thread out nice and taut, when let down the thread will either stay taut or get loose- giving you your answer :goldtooth:

Static means no movement does semi static mean semi no movement ? The word semi static in a bow has never made sense to me it either moves or it doesn't . Must be just my way of looking at things ! Ha
n general, dynamic means energetic, capable of action and/or change, or forceful, while static means stationary or fixed. In computer terminology, dynamic usually means capable of action and/or change, while static means fixed. OK lets say they are not full dynamic :dunno: :laughing:
On most bows everything is going to move a little on a limb while being flexed... I am not that familiar with recurves but I would think it is the amount of curve and the amount of movement in the reflex that determines whether it is static or not... Another words a percentage of the amount of movement compared to the radius of the reflex... Seems to me the tips are moving very little compared to a full on working reflex... For that style bow If they are not opening up more than a 1/2" I most definitely think that it would be called a static... On a hybrid with some reflex in the limbs if it moves more than a 1/4" I would not consider the tips stiff or static...

Why don't you trace the tips on paper at brace and full draw... And decide for yourself...
I really like the looks of your bow, looks like a sweet shooter.. How's it shoot?
Shoots great and points good. Just has a little vibration after the shot. Someone suggested to shorten the working limb even more to get the preload at brace up. So I may try a longer riser and longer PL.
