So I was shooting with my 13 year old son and nephew, also 13, tonight on our 3D target. The boys with their wheelies were filling up the 10 ring so I was picking a spot on the rear end, so I could pick a spot! They started giving the ole' man a hard time about shooting the butt of the deer, so I waited until they had about 6 arrows in the kill zone and asked if they wanted to pull their arrows as I wanted to put one behind the shoulder. They started to pour it on about no sights old eyes, etc.... a few seconds later a nice little white knock busted off an arrow and it was dead silent!
As we walked in the house my son said "Dad, that was AWESOME! Especially since it wasn't my arrow that got busted!" I calmly told him the reason I didn't shoot his was because I bought them! Luckiest shot I've made in a while, but I'm not telling them!!
The old man showed them...LOL. Enjoyed the story.
