Very cool.  Are you able to grind thin fadeouts or, do you use a power lam?  How is the physical weight compared to a wood riser?

You can grind the fades just as thin as wood. The weight is heavier than most woods. I feel like the "I beam" is necessary whether it's a one or two piece. I know other people have used two pieces of clear glass for the "I beam" but for the take down I went with .250 G10
I did't pour the riser myself. I got it from Saul Trail Archery.

So... Are those real bits of foliage encased in a clear resin?

Wow that is a beauty. How much does a block like that cost? is it stronger than normal wood?

Thank you!
No, I don't think it's not stronger than wood because of the natural material in it but I don't think even a one piece would ever break, the resin is pretty tough. I would use some sort of "I beam" though because of flex. They can make many pretty cool riser blocks, some with stabilized material in them and they are probably more rigid and stronger. This bow is very dead in the hand so I feel as if there is very little flex and the material is heavy.
You would have to ask the guys at Saulk Trail Archery about the price. I know they were working to get the price down and I would hate to quote the wrong price.

That came from Mike Roberts at Saulk Trail Archery. They can custom pour using dang near anything.
