Sorry for not posting earlier, I spent the weekend playing with my new toy. :archer:
Big Jim built a beautiful Thunderchild for me as the second winner of the St. Jude auction, and I couldn't be happier.
The riser is built with gaboon ebony and buckeye burl and the limb veneers are the nicest spalted maple I have ever seen and there are moose antler overlays and a beaver tail grip.
A 570 grain arrow just blazes off the shelf and she puts 'em where I'm looking. I can't wait to get her out into the woods!
Thanks again Jim!
Dave.
I tried posting pictures, but my infernal machine won't load them. :banghead:

Gorgeous bow!
oh my lord!!!!!
I love shooting this bow. Jim shaped the grip almost exactly the way I do my own grips. The bow just sits naturally in my hand and boy, does it shoot!
I have to find a nice piece of wood to make a bow rack for it.
Thanks for posting the pics for me Roy. You're ok. ;)
Dave.
Beauty!
another great bow co  :clapper:ngrats
Man that is a great looking bow. I was by Jim's shop the day they were shipping it and saw it sitting on the counter. I commented to Jim and Barb how beautiful that bow is, congrats on an awesome bow! I have a Thunderchild and a Mountain Monarch and love them both, they are certainly shooters. The MM is my newest bow and I am torn on which one to start with Saturday morning. More than likely the MM will rule out since I need to break her in and have been shooting it the most. Best of luck this season!
Thanks guys. I have to look at it every time I get home. Big Jim is the one who deserves the big shout out. All I did was to tell him what I like and I asked him to choose the woods. He probably thought I was being a PITA, :), but I've seen his work and I had no doubt that he would build a beauty.
Dave.
Fantastic!
Lovely - congratulations on a beautiful bow.
Like the style of the grip.
