Just wondering how many bow hunters my age or older are still hunting, scouting , climbing ladder stands and so forth. I am 86 and so blessed
I'm 72 and still doing all that stuff. Still use climbing stands occasionally, though find hang on and ladder stands a bit more convenient. Sure hope to be able to do it when I reach my 80s as well. So far, so good.
I'm not there yet but find it encouraging that's wonderful Brother

God bless ya, Fred.
70 here and still at it..
Thanks for that question, Fred. Now I feel like a kid at 65!
I still use a hang on and a ladderstand, but have to admit I did sit on the ground on my last couple of outings last fall. Probably cost me a deer, I might add.
I have found "sticks" make it much easier to put up a hang on stand.
Just turned 72 today and spent yesterday fishing a high lake and doing a hike at 12,800'. I'm feeling it today but I'll be back for more. Don't climb trees anymore but that never was a big part of my hunting style.
Fred, have we maybe meet at some ML events?
I'm 62 and I have stayed on the ground for the past 4 years.
But I will add, it's because of back problems.
I am quite a few steps behind you.
I hope I can keep up.
I'll be 74 in sept. I might have a year or two left, hopefully.
