My wife was out of town for the weekend, and I was sitting around today with nothing to do. So, I decided to go out behind the house and set up a blind.
I built this blind several years back when I had a real good hunting lease in S Tx. I lost that lease at the end of 2013, and it's been sitting around waiting to be used again.
Originally the blind had indoor/outdoor carpet on all the walls. That had mostly rotted away. I had a big old artificial Xmas tree laying around, so I set up the blind, and then brushed it in with the Xmas tree. I think it came out pretty well!

I can't wait for the season to get here so I can try it out!

Only one thing is missing! You forgot your string of twinkling lights!
Nothing better to brush stands for blinds in my opinion. Looks like a killer spot for a killer like you to be good luck I'm sure you'll make it happen.
That looks great! How much bow clearance can you get in that? It looks nice and tall.
That's impressive Bisch, looks great!
Congrats great work, now you need them to cooperate !
Blends right in! Nice work and awesome use of materials!

I could shoot my 70" bow in there, no problem. I can shoot my 62" bow standing up. I don't remember exact dimensions, but it is about 8'x8'x7.5'.

Looks good!
At first I thought "That Tin roof is going to be noisy as heck when it rains", But then I remembered that it won't bother you at all! :biglaugh:
Good Job! Same way I do mine, I use carpet on the sides and roof.

I've got a couple of old christmas trees in storage for the same purpose. Just need a place to hunt now.

I thought you just bought a new hunting place????

Those trees and garland can allow you to put in a blind almost anywhere. I have been a user of them for about 25 years-used a lot when i lived in Virginia. Not so much here in the spot-stalk west. Got room in there for a second hunter?

Ha! Yep, two could fit in there easily.

Ok, you had me scratching my head real hard! When I typed my response above, I knew I had read a thread about wingnut buying a place. I did some digging, and found there is another guy who goes by wingnut on TBH, and it was he who bought 160ac. He probably thinks I'm nuts, as I congratulated him, calling him Mike because I thought it was you!!!!

Maybe Santa will put up a nice 10pt buck under the blind...

That's a great idea! If I ever have to brush in a blind near some evergreens, I will keep repurposing the old fake xmas tree in mind.

Xmas trees are awesome and cheap....but Santa must've wanted them back because someone stole my grandsons and mine. Was on private land. Great idea Bisch looks nice and comfy.
