I've always shot recurves but been wanting to try a longbow and bought a used LH BW PLX 47# at my draw. I always use bow quivers and would like to continue. What is your thoughts of a quiver on a longbow ? What brand and other considerations?
I like a Great Northern strap on for my PL's.
They are all good these days. For me the most solid and dependable have been Selway slide on. That rubber bushing will quiet any bow and my opinion reduce any vibration.
I have a Great Northern on both of my PLs. I like being able to install/remove the quiver without having to unstring the bow.
I don't usually use a bow mounted quiver, but when I do I have a Kanati Pro Strap on that fits all my bows. Since I hear that Kanati is not longer available my choice would be a Thunderhorn Boa, or a Boa Small Fry depending upon broadhead size and style.
I prefer my Thunderhorn BOA strap-on for my longbows which include my BW PLX T/D.I like being able to put it on and take off without unstringing my bow.
take a look at marksman quivers strap on.
I liked a lightweight strap on quiver with a small footprint on a longbow with the streamlined risers. Nothing bulky, oversized or heavy.Thier are a few like the Eagles flight and Great Northern quivers that meet these standards.
Got a Thunderhorn Lynx strap-on on both my PLX's, both with the back-set arrow rail.
They fit well, look great, and don't move.
No complaints what-so-ever.

All the above tips are very good take a look to the Eagle flight quivers as well. I like them also on my Silvertips, they are featherlight and quick to remove.

My experience agrees with Lex. The Thunderhorn Linx Small Fry quiver was the perfect match to my PLX.

The lightweight connecting rod between the arrow gripper and the hood is easily adjustable to a particular bow. Also, the limb grips rotate so you can adjust the angle of the arrows to suit your preference. With all this adjustability you can easily switch between your longbow and recurve. I would highly recommend the Linx
