Passing along the joy of something even when you can almost no longer do it! Spent a few hours at the range this morning with my son and his new bow. He had a blast and asked if we can do this every time he comes to visit. 'Course my answer was yes as long as the weather provided shooting opportunities. :goldtooth: I didn't shoot today as it was all about Robert!

Right on!!!* :clapper:
Good way to spend a day right there. Nothing beats a day of shooting with my kids.
Oh yeah! :archer: :clapper:
Thanks for the comments everyone! We have some form and function to work on but, today was mostly just letting him have fun shooting. My heart almost swelled out of my chest when his face would light up after putting one dead center. I look forward to watching him grow and with archery in his life.
Way to go Dad!!!!! Keep up the good work.

Congrats, time well spent!
Just a question? Did you ever check his eye dominance?? That head lean could be telling? No criticizing only offering an observation

No offense taken as he does have some issues. I am what you would call a true ambidextrous person. I can actually do things with both hands and it caused issues when I was young. I think Robert inherited that same thing. :-( I write left handed, eat left handed and other things but, shoot right handed, punch right handed etc. etc.

I teach a lot of kids n the head cock is commonly an attempt to get his dominant eye into play. If anyone has a lefty bow let him try it if he's left eye dominant.
Best of luck to you guys either way
Thank you! I will see if I can find one for him to try out and go from there. Definitely want to get him set up to shoot with success!
Fun! My boys always want me to shoot with them. On their own, they don't even want to bother. But together, they're all-in.
