I'm slowly building my fiberglass bow collection. I traded for a RER "Retro" recurve and a Howard Hill Big 5 longbow. I know absolutely nothing about these bows. They looked like they were good quality and in great shape. I traded my vine maple selfbow with broad banded water snake skins and a bamboo backed osage for them. I was happy with the trades and so were the other people. I can post some pictures later if anyone wants to see them.
Any info on my new bows would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, pics are always nice! :bigsmyl:
The HH Big 5 is 48 lbs

The RER Retro is 37 lbs. I have a bad short draw problem. I'm hoping to correct my short draw problems with this lighter weight bow.

I can't tell you much on the RER but, that Big5 should be a real gem to shoot with that dished grip. The Big5 has 4 layers of boo, black glass. Can't tell what the riser wood is. I've owned quite a few HH and the dished grip was my favorite! Good luck with them and thanks for the pics. TW
They both look to be right off the shelf. I have no experience with either but would be proud to have the opportunity.
Look what followed you home this time Clint. They look like nice bows.

I came home with 2 new selfbows too Pat. One was a bow swap and the other was from the raffle.
Both bows should be fine shooters...have a Big 5 myself, only complaint is mine would be nice to have a deeper grip on the one I have. The Retro I have shot but never owned. Your looks very nice. Enjoy shooting both of them!
