:wavey: Thought I'd stop in and see how my ole family was doing! :goldtooth: I have been doing some physical therapy dealing with the MS and just might be getting back to some shooting. While I don't think I will be able to hunt again, I am soon to be ordering a Maddog Mountaineer longbow for some target shooting. Due to the nerve issues in my arms and fingers, I may be shooting two finger split. We'll see how that goes! :biglaugh:
Anyway, look forward to pulling up to the campfire again and visiting with my ole friends! TW
Glad to hear it and keep on the road back , never quit never surrender....
,,,Sam,,,
Thank you SAM! We'll give her a go and see what happens.
Glad to see you might be able to get back at it.
Thank you! I am excited as I moved over to Corvallis, OR and just found out there's an archery range just 12 min. up the road from me. Will be taking my son there to get him started with his new bow.
Wishing you the best with your struggles, family is important and it seems is behind you 100%. Keep on doing what you can and even if not shooting you're always welcome at the fire.
Its great seeing you post again. I hope you can find a way to keep on shooting. Never give up..... the human body is resiliant. Keep us all updated on your progress. :clapper:

  I am sure your attitude helps.
A heart felt thanks to everyone again! I have an appointment this morning but, am planning on driving up to that shooting range I mentioned and have a look around. I'll try and get a few photos with my phone and post them when I return.
Welcome back T.W. :wavey:
glad to hear from you again. God bless you
Great news!! You have been missed.
It is wonderful to hear from you.
Please try to stay connected?
Appointment went well and Doc says to not over do it (balance issues). I did manage to stop by the archery range and I'm stoked to say the least!

Agree on all counts. Very happy to hear from you, and that is a spectacular range.
I too was very impressed by the range. Looks like they have a target all the way to the 80yd mark for those wheelie bow guys. I also like the platform for simulated stand shooting. The range is fairly new from what I gather. Only a couple years old. You don't have to be a member of any special club either! Just have to have a parking permit from the ODFW.
I did pick up a cheap ILF recurve that is 60", 40# @ 28". I strung it up and tried to pull it back this morning and have to admit, I could barely do it! :-( I think I may need to have Mike@Maddog make my longbow a little on the lighter side.
Very nice looking range!!!! And only a few minutes up the road?????? You can't beat that with a stick!
Good to have you back, brother.
Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,
Rodd

Glad to see you post........... :clapper:
Awesome to see you post. You are truly a gentleman. :notworthy:
Thanks again to everyone! I am proud to call all of you friends!! I don't know how I'm going to do it but, I'm determined to get myself able to shoot at least a 40# bow again. (Minimum weight limit for Oregon) Who knows, I may still be able to break my winning streak! Winning that is, for the critters! :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Very good to have you back TW!
Hope all goes well for you.
Welcome back!! :wavey:
Welcome back! Mike's longbow just looks like a smooth shooter. Let us know how you like it and enjoy your new range and returning strength.
Thanks Possum! I've owned a couple of Mikes bows in the past and love them and his customer service! I'm sure he'll deliver on a winner for me. I'm itchy to get to that new range but, been a while now so, a little longer isn't going to kill me. Priority for now is getting my son out there and teaching him.
Welcome back TW. Great looking range brother! Enjoy what you can while you can. I love your fighting nature!
Hey Charlie! :wavey: Hope all is well on your end. I found (in the Sponsors Classifieds) the post for the Talon Thumb tab and am going to purchase one and give it a shot. I think it will help with my drawing hand as I won't need to utilize anything except the thumb and index finger. That should minimize any pain in my ring and pinky finger. I'll post a new thread when I've got everything together and go for my first shoot. :bigsmyl:
Welcome back, TW!
Thank you! :wavey:
:clapper: :shaka: Great to hear from you and glad to see archery is still in your life. You are an inspiration to us all !!
This is fantastic news! Really pleased to see you back.
Welcome back! If there is anything I can do to help with you shooting two fingers let me know. Due to a traumatic hand injury a few years back I now only can shoot with two fingers.
Big Ed
Thanks Big Ed! I ordered the Talon Thumb tab to see how that will work. If it doesn't I'll PM ya! :)
Sure is good to see you here again. :archer:
:wavey: :coffee:
Glad your back!!!!!
It was just a few weeks ago I looked up your old thread and wondered how you've been doing and said a little prayer. Glad to see you posting and at it again!
Good to have you back!
Again, many thanks and appreciations! Not sure how it's going to go but, we're going to give it one heck of a whirl!
Awesome to here you are still here at powwow and are retrying archery, would say it is the best therapy! :clapper:
