Mid 70's bear grizzly 8.25 brace 45# at 28 I pull 27.5 Nock is 1/8 for flipper rest 2
Using SRF sight but not adjusting it or caring where arrows hit target. Groupings only
1816 arrows cut 29"--145grain field point
Feathered arrows hitting together and bare shafts 4 inches right (right handed shooter). According at adcock tuning you want bareshaft mildly weak and a little low,
I can raise nock some to get little lower on bare shafts.
Should I consider this a tuned bow ????? Coming from compounds and x bows and being able to bust arrows at 20 yds with Excalibur x bow I have no standard to judge by.
Nope.
Try cutting 1/2 inch off one arrow and see how it groups with fletched shafts.
If still way right, cut off maybe 1/4 inch and try again.
Repeat until no more than 1 inch right.
I would not settle for more than 1 inch right for the bare shaft.
But you only have 1.5 inches of arrow to work with.
Roy's got it but I'd suggest that you try 125 grain points before cutting. See what that does to your grouping first.
Arne
Good point, Arne..
I overlooked the 145 grain point.
125 gr helped greatly, may cut 1/4 inch off,I think that will do it for left/right.
started at 1/2 inch nock point, bareshaft hit low, went to 3/8,hit low, then 1/8,low again. Went the other way after 0 but still low bareshaft all the way to 7/8 inch, still low....... Any ideas why bare arrow would come off low on flipper rest 2 at all nock settings??? Or better off going back to leather rest and plate? THANKS for the assist
leave them 29" with the 125 grain pts. run the string nock 3/8 to 7/16 and just shoot if for several days. occasionally throw in a bareshaft, just to see.
I suspect a form issue, anchor/release. having any tender pressure points on the fingers?
check your arrow nocks arent to tight
Rusty
Rusty has a good point.
Just shoot the fletched shafts for a week or two.
A video of you shooting would help.
