Title: 300 grain broad heads?
Post by: HartHeart on May 10, 2018, 09:10:49 PM
I'm curious how many 300 grain broad heads are currently being made? Or within +/- 15 grains of 300 grains. Thanks

Lots of 200 grain headd and 100 grain steel inserts.  I'm partial to the 200 grain Grizzly instinct myself.

Off the top of my head, VPA Penetrators, VPA terminators, tuffheads glue on, Steelforce traditionals, and Bishop Archery Scientific method.  Also Grizzlystick Ashby broadheads, but unless those have changed, I would never recommend those.

Ace Super Express are available in 200gr weight - add a 100gr screw-in adapter and you're at 300grs.

The Ace Super Express have been around for a long time. Hopefully Ron LaClair will add a comment here as he's mentioned using them for years.

I'm thinking the Aztec screw-in is 200gr - though the adapter probably adds a good bit of that.

Just spoke to the manufacturer this morning. They can supply 300 grain Aztecs and 315 grain Concordes. Each using 125 grain broadhead adapters. So not technically 300 grains but good enough :)
