Went to the Sterling Harrell memorial longbow shoot put on by Louisiana Traditional Bowmen with my oldest son today. He just turned 3 and I think in a few months he will be ready for a pointed arrow.
Had a great time seeing everyone there. It struck me when I met my first group of traditional archers how pleasant, polite, and inviting they were. This event was no exception. Top notch crew. Will try to post a picture of my new hunting buddy-6 year old grandson. The future of our sport rests in those young hands.
Awesome!

You're looking at the future of our beloved sport. These little ones are why we must fight for hunting and conservation!
Very cute! The future of our sport.
It is so much fun to watch little ones when they first learn about the bow. I have been doing this with my grandchildren, so I know how much fun you are having. I really enjoy seeing threads like this. Thanks for sharing.
Take many pictures! My girls are both in their twenties now and I am glad I always pulled out the camera!
Good stuff! Can't wait til my little guy can shoot, some of my best memories with my girls is when we'd shoot together or just spend time in the outdoors.
