Title: Dryad’s ACS-RCTX limbs
Post by: trashwood on April 24, 2018, 02:01:05 PM
Going to a shoot this weekend.  I am hunting with 35# draw these days.  Just keep it down to Texas Whitetail and smaller pigs.

I have a pair of 34# Dryad ACS-RCTX limbs.  Thought I would try them on my Bernardini Mamba 19".  WoW!   Spits an arrow at military speed for a 34#er.

It shot my current 3D arrows way to the right (weak).  Made some 600s up and had to cut them shorter than I wanted to get them tuned. May try some longer 520

Great limbs

Thanks Rob.  I have thought of you often.  Remember you had a bunch of those orange fiber glass arrows.  I bought several dozen.  Shoot them often.  Glad you are doing well

Speaking of old arrows.  I have a bunch of the old Easton autumn orange 2013.  I had three fletched cut 28.5". Went out to set my gaps on the Mamba.  Took a selection of arrows to try.

Mike gave me some 145 gr field points.  The ole orange arrow flew well.  Funny how when you retire you had rather use the stuff you got then buy more.  Bet I am the only one at the shoot shooting alloy arrows. 🤠😆

12"gap at 15, point on at 20.  About 12" hold over at 25.  When you start hunt and shooting light draw bows you learn to judge distance.  That speed the 50# bows used to give you a trajectory that covered you for a few misjudged yards is gone

You quickly learn exactly what is meant by that old saying "speed kills" means  :bigsmyl:

Very nice limbs...

Have some ACS RC Legends at 45#s being delivered in a couple of weeks. Mike advised me, for my particular setup,  to stay with the ACS RC.

These will be my 6th set of ACS RC limbs. They have been great and Mike has never steered me wrong in attempting to accomplish my objectives.

The RCTX limbs should perform extremely well for you.
