I have been informed that this is the place to be for folks who actually make Bow's and other Archery tackle. I have felt like a Duck out of water on the chit-chat site, I have been on. Nice to see all the threads about building Bow's and the civility among posters. I hope I can add to the conversations and learn from them.
Welcome Bro... Whatcha making these days??? Throw a few pics in if yah got em'...
welcome mate, this is a lot friendlier and more civil than stalkbook :bigsmyl:

Thanks. Right now I am slowly working on a Hill style, with very slight string follow. [attachment=1][attachment=2]
Welcome, Lig. Good folks here. Keep us posted on your progress with that bow.
Fuj, your charitable. I've taken to calling it A$$book. :)
Nice work there. Is it a white belly. Looking forward to finish pictures.
Welcome to TG and nice bow..
Welcome, and you can even meet old geezers from the cold north. ;)
Welcome, my friend. Jawge
:wavey: Nice looking bow!!
[attachment=1,msg2792236][attachment=2,msg2792236]Well I was able to complete my Honey-do's and finally get back to working on this bow. Thought I would include some pictures and maybe get some opinions on tiller and such. Sorry about the crappy pictures, got to figure out a better way to pull and shoot.
Looks pretty good.
You posted a thumbnail picture, which is fine.
After you select your picture from your PC or phone, just to the right of the little window where the picture name appears, click ( Insert Attachment 1 ). That will make the picture full size in your post.

Did some more work on the upper limb, think I am getting close. I was shooting for around 45#. It's 48# right now, I hope I can loose a pound or two after sanding it out. [attachment=1][attachment=2]
[attachment=1,msg2793017]I probably should have started a separate thread for this, too late now. I got the handle on this bow shaped out. it's almost ready for some finish.
Nice looking bow & welcome
That's my kind of bow
Well I finally found time to finish this Bow I started back in March. It's a gift for a friend. He had has never shot a Longbow, until this one. I suckered him into coming over to help glue it up. I did not tell him, it was going to be his Bow. He stopped by one day when I was tillering and I ask if he would like to shoot it. Before he left, he asked me how much a Bow like that would cost, I told him he could sell it and find out. One more convert [attachment=1][attachment=2][attachment=3]
Finished up real nice. And off to a good home to boot.
